Story

Martha Elizabeth Venable and Isabella Brown Venable  were daughters of Abraham Watkins Venable. Abraham Watkins Venable was a distinguished gentleman from Granville County who had been educated at Hampden-Sydney College and Princeton University who applied his studies at the bar and politically. His political career included stints as a United States Congressman and also as a Congressman to the Confederate States of America.

Martha Elizabeth Venable is listed in the Burwell School Catalogue of 1848-51 [2]. She married first Samuel Venable Morton, with whom she had no children. She married second Robert Alston Hamilton. This marriage produced two children, the names of whom are unknown [1].
