Story

Dr. Thomas Bunting attended the University of North Carolina in 1822. He also served in the North Carolina State Senate from 1836 to 1838 and from 1850 to 1852. He served as a delegate to the National Democratic Convention of 1852 in Baltimore. He also believed in the right of secession of states from the Union.
