Mary Fleming and Haynes Waddell were married in Wilmington, NC. Her nine children were all born in North Carolina. The older children, except for Catherine, died in North Carolina. Son George died in Georgia. The other children died in Alabama. Mary F Waddell was removed from St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church registry in March, 1857. By 1860, Mary was living in Alabama with her husband and her oldest son, James Fleming Waddell and his family. Nearby were families of other sons and of her daughter Charlotte Isabelle Hooper.
