After the death of his wife Martha, Isaac married Susan R. Cox. They had a son, Isaac Williams Grice in 1836. That same year, Isaac died, leaving his widowed wife and son. Susan R. Cox Grice married William Watson in Cumberland County, NC in 1839 and they raised Isaac as well as children of their own.
