Great grandson of Martha Jane Craig. Son of Samuel Craig Blackwood and Laura Anna Joyner Blackwood. Attended UNC-Chapel Hill. Graduated from North Carolina State with an electrical engineering degree. Veteran of the United States Air Force, stationed in Germany. Worked his whole career at Honeywell in Clearwater, FL where he tested inertial navigation systems for NASA space projects and military avionics.
