Samuel David Blackwood

Joined the Confederacy in the US Civil War and was a member of Lane's Brigade, Company F, 33 N.C. Regiment. In active service from July 1862 until he surrendered at Appomattox in 1865. After the Civil War, Samuel Blackwood served as an Elder of the New Hope Presbyterian Church in 1871. He lived to be fifty-eight years old.
