Mary died on December 7, 1840, and was buried in St. Matthew's Churchyard in Hillsborough, NC [1].

Relatives

• Other children: three sons (James M. Palmer [1], Nathaniel J. Palmer (d. 1854) [1] and [unknown] Palmer). Interestingly, her tombstone in St. Matthew's Churchyard bears only one line,  "Mother of J.M. Palmer."  [1]
• Others: Sophia Lutterloh (daughter-in-law) [1] and Eliza Palmer  (granddaughter) [1].
