From Concord, North Carolina, William Barringer attended the University of North Carolina and became a Methodist minister.

Story

During his lifetime, William Barringer held several posts in his office of minister. He was the presiding elder in the North Carolina and South Carolina conferences for 20 years. Moreover, he was a four time member of the general conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church of the South. He served at the Hillsborough Methodist in 1870 most likely until his death in 1873. He was buried in Greensboro.
