Story

Mary Caroline McCauly was the daughter of Cornelia Watson and Col. William H. McCauley of Hillsborough. Caroline is listed among the Burwell School students, however little is known about her. The obituary of Mary Caroline McCauley was carried in the The Hillsborough Recorder [1] on June 22, 1859. She died at the residence of her uncle, Richard Tapp, of consumption [2].
