At a Glance

Elizabeth Whitted, like many Burwell School girls, awaits to be more fully discovered.

Story

Elizabeth, called Bettie, was the daughter of Anna D. Faucett and Henry Whitted, a wealthy Hillsborough planter. Elizabeth never married and was the mistress of her father's household. Elizabeth does not have a headstone in the William Whitted, Jr. Family Cemetery, but it is assumed she is buried there [1].
