At a Glance

Cassandra Harrison of New Bern was the daughter of James Harrison and Cassandra Harrison [1].

Story

Cassandra apparently came to Hillsborough in the late 1840s or 1850, for her name appears in the Burwell School Catalogue of 1848-51 [2]. Her marriage to Bryan S. Rhodes in New Bern was officiated by Presbyterian minister Thomas G. Wall, the husband of another Burwell student, Janet Hollister . It may be that Cassandra and Janet were schoolmates in Hillsborough [1].
