Owen Holmes, Jr.

Owen Holmes, Jr, was the nephew of NC Governor, Gabriel Holmes (1769-1829) who served from 1821-1824. Governor Gabriel Holmes also served as a US Congressman from 1825-1829.

Owen Holmes, Jr, was elected as a Superior Court Judge, but he declined. He was a lawyer, and served as a member of the NC Constitutional Convention.
