At a Glance
Being the father of several girls, Dr. Craddock established a home school for them and then opened it up to girls from the neighborhood in Black Walnut in the attic of their home, Oak Grove. “In the attic of the Craddock home at Cluster Springs, where the classes were taught, the white plaster walls still bear the monograms of girls who attended there and smoked their initials on the walls with candles.”
